This event is a private welding class for international high school students studying in Yuma, AZ, as well as their host families. Eligible participants will receive a discount code through your coordinator.

Remember 1st grade?  your handprints traced and cut out on thick card stock paper, complete with glued-on feathers, covered in paint... well, this is the modern version. 🙂 (Waaay better than a macaroni necklace!)

Remember color-by-number activity books? Well, here’s a similar concept using steel and welding. A variety of designs are available to “draw” on a piece of steel using the GMAW (a.k.a. MIG, or wire welding) process.  After ample practice, each kid will create a decorated wall hanging to take home. Ages 6-17; contact us with questions or potential exceptions for children under 6.

Weld a miniature snowman/snowwoman with steel nuts, screws and other shop delicacies... Who knows, maybe she/he will become a keychain or guard your favorite house plant?

Join us for a quick & fun (2 hours or less) intro welding class to make a whimsical metal reindeer. All safety gear is provided (welding jackets, helmets, gloves, safety glasses, etc.). Please wear jeans and closed-toe shoes. We will provide the rest.

Create snowflakes, stars or whatever holiday image your heart/mind can dream up! Using screws, nails, bolts, nuts, etc. you will weld your own festive holiday ornaments.

Create an item for your yard or simply have hours on end to work on a particular item from your dreams. 😀 All supplies are included; however, if you have a particular garden tool or other piece of steel/stainless steel you’d like to incorporate into your sculpture, feel free to bring it to class. While the sky is the limit, please remember: you must be able to transport it home!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas and here are some options for you to create a custom tabletop tree using a plasma cutter (like a light saber, but cooler). 🙂

Participants will plasma cut and weld shapes to be illuminated on a lawn garden by solar lighting. Landscape art and included lights are intended for outdoor use due to the nature of the lighting;

OK, we are down to the wire! Come in for a half-day session where you create (and FINISH) Christmas gifts. You may leave with the paint dry but you will be just in the St. Nick of time for the holiday!

So you know how to MIG (GMAW or wire) weld and are looking for a new challenge... Join us for a 2-day workshop where you will learn the basics of TIG (GTAW) technique, equipment set-up, tungsten selection & sharpening, gas selection & flow, filler metal and so much more. All materials and use of safety gear included with registration.

You've watched Forged in Fire. You know the work is hard, hot and dirty. You are ready for the challenge. Join us as we heat & beat metal (mild steel and possibly stainless steel) to create crazy cool patterns with our resident power hammer, Alisonasaurus.

Some hearts are strong, some are broken. Some hearts are shiny and new, while others are rusty and road-weary. Whether you want to build a perfectly imperfect heart or repair a damaged heart, we provide you the tools to make it happen. Disclaimer: All hearts to be constructed or repaired will be steel and are not required to have  any resemblance to actual human hearts, either living or dead. Lol.

So, you have a welder and maybe even some fancy accessories. You have no idea to use any of it and the on-line tutorials are all in a very confusing semi-English type language. We got you. Feel free to bring in your own machine & accessories (work clamp + gun/torch/stinger, etc.) and we will help you set it up. If your process requires gas, you can hook into our gas cylinders. If you don't yet have a machine, we will introduce you to many different pieces of welding equipment, from old school to new.

Create beautiful, hand-forged steel roses through various blacksmithing, cutting & welding techniques- just in time for Valentine's Day! Hammers, anvils, plasma cutters, MIG welders, etc. will be singing today as you forge your very own long-stemmed roses! Participants will have the opportunity to create multiple roses to arrange in a bouquet or place in long stemmed rose boxes (boxes provided).
