Enjoy your day off from school with some creative learning though fun! After a reasonable sleep-in, join us as we safely use welding and plasma cutting equipment as well as various power tools to create a very unusual metal zipper.
Age range: We recommend ages 10-17 for this project but we are open to conversation about mature children who are younger. While parents are permitted to stay, the purpose of this class is not only to provide cool learning opportunities for kids, it is also to free up parents’ time.
What to Wear: Participants are asked to wear jeans that cover the ankles, clothes-toe shoes and a cotton t-shirt. We literally have you covered for all the rest! (We will provide all of the necessary safety gear for welding/cutting including welding jacket, gloves and helmet, as well as safety glasses and hearing protection.)
