For those who have tried MIG welding (aka GMAW) and are looking for a bit more of a challenge, we have the perfect 2-day workshop for you! You will learn the basics of Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), also known as TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) Welding including: machine set-up, tungsten selection & grinding, metal preparation (steel/stainless/aluminum), polarity, weld progression, technique, heat input and so much more! You will play with the newest technologies and also try your hand at old-school transformer equipment. Our goal is that you leave our studio feeling better prepared for any TIG application.
Registration fees include all materials (steel/stainless steel & aluminum), filler rod, gases, use of equipment, access to all relevant safety gear (welding jacket, helmet, gloves, safety glasses, etc.) and accessories.
You WILL walk away knowing how to TIG weld. If you are already a TIG welder, you will walk away BETTER.
Space is limited as we want to provide the best experience possible for each participant. There will be at least two instructors to assist at any given moment.
Water and light refreshments will be provided during this experience.
