Is there a cooler way to use scrap metal than to fo llow the wisdom of quilters around the world? No scrap left behind... we w ill weld together bits of scrap sheet metal previously cut with a plasma c utter to form a crazy quilt. Go home happy\, knowing you have used your im agination and (metal) fabric to thier fullest potential.\n\n \;\n\n\n\ n ALL classes begin with safety! Participants will be taught about weldin g safety\, plasma cutting and GMAW (MIG welding). Demonstrations and pract ice time are provided. \n We provide a small group setting of no more tha n 10 people so that everyone can get the individual instruction and attent ion they need.\n We provide all safety gear including safety glasses\, we lding jackets\, gloves and welding helmets.\n This class is co-ed.\n Chi ldren are permitted to register\; so far\, we have taught kids as young as 5 years old but only you know how mature your child is. (If you have a ma ture child under the age of 7\, please contact us so we can discuss the po ssibility of participation.) Children under the age of 14 are asked to reg ister and participate with an adult.\n WHAT TO WEAR: jeans\, cotton t-shi rt and closed-toe shoes (leather shoes/boots preferred\; tennis shoes are OK\; no sandals)\; please ensure ankles and feet are completely covered.  T-shirts or tank tops are fine as you will be wearing a welding jacket on top.\n FYI: if you already have your own safety glasses that fit you per fectly\, you are welcome to bring them.
